Julie Harrison
Julie Harrison was manager of MACH from December 2004 and Manager of Metro since March 2007. Julie has previously worked in project management, casework, equity and access, and complaint management areas – primarily in the NSW public sector.
Maree Arkell
Maree Arkell alternates roles between that of Office manager and Housing Worker. Maree started at Metro in April 2007 and is currently undertaking extra training with the Federation of Housing. Maree has had extensive cross cultural experience having previously worked as an ESL teacher and in administration in tertiary colleges for overseas students.
Sue O'Neill
Sue O'Neill has previously been Manager of Resamen but left this role to work with Aid agencies in the Pacific. Upon her return to Australia she undertook postgraduate research studies and worked for MACH in a relief capacity for several years. Following the merger with Resamen Sue returned to permanent part time employment with Metro and is now Metro's Senior Housing Worker. Sue's experience in the sector has been invaluable and her role in supporting and mentoring new staff is greatly appreciated.
Karen Hooper
Karen Hooper joined Metro in April 2008 after working for a large community housing organisation in Queensland for a number of years, where she gained skills and experience in working with tenants with psychiatric disabilities. Prior to this Karen worked in SAAP services – particularly focusing on survivors of domestic violence.
Nermin Odemis
Nermin Odemis has been with Metro since 2005 and she is primarily responsible for rent entries and payments, arrears follow up, rent reviews. Nermin has been changing her focus over the latter part of 2008 to take on more of the organisation's bookkeeping functions. Nermin has had a diverse work background and brings with her very well developed organisational skills. As a Turkish speaker she is able to help Metro communicate with our Turkish residents and brings a cross-cultural perspective to the organisation.
