Cadetship

CADETSHIP

We would like to let you know the NSW Land and Housing Corporation is funding 100 cadetships (25 per year for next four years) for people to complete the Certificate VI in Social Housing whilst gaining practical experience in all aspects of social housing with a Community Housing provider over a twelve month period.   Training and ongoing workplace support for participants will be provided by the Community Housing Industry Association (CHIA).

Cadetships will be targeted to:

  • Unemployed young people (over 21) whether or not they are connected to social housing

  • Adults (over 25) in permanent/transitional social housing or in crisis/supported accommodation

 

 

Applications will open on 17 January and close on 18 February 2022 with a commencement date of 21 March 2022.   Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID and they will also be required to complete a short assessment to ensure they have the required literacy and numeracy to complete the training requirements.  

There will be a 2 day induction before participants commence employment with the CHP.   Participants will be paid an annual salary of $43,685.00.
