As a Board member, you will be responsible for supporting Metro Community Housing to develop the company strategic plan and oversee it's implementation.

Metro Community housing is a non for profit, Co-operative, Registered by the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission, which is funded by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice Board members need to meet all statutory obligations of company directors. This includes a good knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a company director and of the board generally. The board delegates all management responsibilities to the Chief Executive Officer, who has wide management authority, which is limited and guided by the organisation’s policies and the Board.

 

Time commitment

In applying for this position, it is important to consider whether you have the capacity in terms of time commitment to fulfil the requirements of the role.

 

There is a minimum of 9 standard scheduled Board of Directors meetings per annum in Sydney, in addition to the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Attendance for the meetings are via Microsoft Teams, excluding the AGM.
